When accrediting your short course with BABTAC, you will be affiliated with the longest established, leading membership association in the beauty industry, that prides itself on its high standards.

Holding the BABTAC accreditation stamp of approval will demonstrate the high quality of your courses and will give them the recognition they deserve. All students upon completing a BABTAC short course will be able to obtain BABTAC insurance.


How can I gain BABTAC Short Course Accreditation?

In order to be eligible for BABTAC accreditation, it is mandatory that all trainers are fully qualified in the subject they will be teaching, with at least 12 months experience and hold a recognised level 3 teaching qualification.

The principle tutor and all trainers must be a current BABTAC member or in the process of applying for membership. To contniue with BABTAC accreditation, after your first year of approval, it is mandatory to renew your membership and pay the accreditation fee of £249 inclusive of VAT every 12 months.

How is BABTAC accreditation maintained?

All BABTAC accredited courses are required to complete an annual survey and pay the accreditation annual renewal fee to maintain accreditation status.

BABTAC carries out necessary spot checks, in the event that the outcome of the spotcheck isn’t successful, BABTAC accreditation can be revoked.

BABTAC certificates and badges

BABTAC will provide a CPD or introductory certificate to all students that have completed a BABTAC accredited course. The cost of each individual certificate is £22.00, this includes a BABTAC badge. We recommend you incorporate this into your overall course fee. This is mandatory.

You must provide BABTAC with the name of each student within 2 weeks of completion of each course, on the excel spreadsheet provided.

An invoice will then be raised to your centre and the requested certificates will be sent to your current address within four weeks. You will then be responsible to issue the certificates to the students.
